Ensemble of Armenian music “Kantex” consists of
non-traditional amount of 8 musicians (soprano, flute,
clarinet, saxophone, fagot, piano, violin, cello) – students
and graduates of the Conservatory.
The aim of ensemble is to represent Armenian
classical music starting from its origins up to nowadays.
The programme of “Kantex” also includes concerts
devoted to the outstanding friends of the Armenian people:
F. Verfel, F. Nansen, B. Gembarsky, E. Leonovich, A. Bitov
etc.
The ensemble is supported by the leading modern
Armenian composers and musicians. Concert and TV
performances of “Kantex” are heartily accepted by
spectators.
In the framework of the Forum the ensemble played in
a smaller staff, namely, soprano, flute, saxophone, piano
and performed the works of Komitas, Mansuryan, Babyan etc.
Anush Nazaryan (soprano)
In 2006 Anush Nazaryan graduated from vocal department of
Yerevan State Conservatory named after Komitas. In 2006 she
participated in the contest named after T. Sazandaryan and
was recognized as the best singer of European aria.
Narek Avakyan (flute)
Narek Avakyan is a 3-year student of Yerevan State
Conservatory. He gave concerts not only in Armenia but also
abroad (in Great Britain, France, Switzerland, Romania,
Greece, Kirgizia, Nagorny Karabakh). He is a permanent
participant of international contests and festivals.
Ishkhan Arutyunyan (saxophone)
Ishkhan Arutyunyan is a 4-year student of Yerevan State
Conservatory named after Komitas, Wind department, in 2007
he participated in a festival of brass bands in Spain.
Argripe Kalinina (artistic head of the ensemble of
Armenian music “Kantex”, piano)
Argripe Kalinina is a 5-year student of Yerevan State
Conservatory, Department of piano and composition,
participant of several composer contests and concerts
(including festivals of young composers named after A.
Khachaturyan in 2001—2004). She is the author of concerts
and chamber ensembles (nonette, trio, piano plays, vocal
cycles etc.). Her works were played in various concert halls
including the House-museum of A. Khachaturyan, The Union of
Armenian composers, Art center “Narekatsi”)
