Silvia Choleva
Silvia Choleva is the poet and journalist.
She was born in 1959 in Bulgaria, graduated from the Department of Bulgarian Philology of Sophia University named after St. Climent of Okhrid.
Now 7 books of Silvia Choleva are published: “A child of the deaf-and-dumb”(1993), “Entrance” (1996), “Departure-arrival” (1997),”Winter and summer” (2001),”Attention” (2001), “Postcards»”(2007), “Letters” (2007).
She won the award “Southern spring” for the first book (1993), Silvia Choleva is laureate of the Poetry National Award “Ivan Nikolov” (2002 and 2007), National Award “Khr.G.Danov” (2007) and “Knight of the book” (2008). Some verses of Silvia Choleva are translated in foreign languages. She participated in poetry festivals of different countries, is the editor of programme “Khr. Boterv” in Bulgarian national radio, anchor person of the cultural programme “Art-air”. Silvia Choleva published her verses in different periodicals. She debuted as a script writer of the film “My mother” at Sophia Cinema Festival.
